Home is where love is. And taking a peek into the house of actress Julia Štandera was like taking a breath of fresh air, which is woven with love through and through.
The family home with a majestic window and a view of the vast greenery became a children's refuge and a place with a clear opinion - that home is the coziest and kindest place under the sun.
You and your husband sealed your love in a rather unconventional ceremony in Las Vegas. How do you remember this event?
As the best decision in your life. Everything happened at the right time in the right place.
What is the key to a happy marriage and a peaceful home?
Communication and regular parenting retreats without children. (laughs)

A bedroom covered in a strip of the Daily Notes and Old Memories collections.
What principles will you never give up when raising Rose and Kevin?
That phones and technology do not belong in children's hands. And that time is the most precious thing we have and can give.
What do you think makes a home?
Mom and dad.
What is your favorite part of it?
The table. I like it when we all get together. And the window is an unforgettable highlight of our house. The view from it is always different – snowy, blooming, green… There is always something to observe.
And what parts of your “home” do your children like the most?
The windowsill and the sofa, without a doubt. (laughter) It is their jungle gym, diving board, trampoline and stage.

“Time is the most precious thing we have and can give.”
Is there anything you still want in the interior?
We are currently working intensively on Kevin's room. Once the little room is finished, the only thing missing from the interior is a fireplace. It will be the icing on the cake. We are really looking forward to lighting the first fire in it. So far, it seems to me that a house is a lifelong project, so there is always something to work on and something to desire.
And what do you think a home smells like?
Like a freshly baked cake.

Julie chose woven accessories from the Woven Monocolour collection for her living room.
You can also recommend your favorite interior fragrances or candles.
My favorite (purchased) fragrance is the one we brought back from our honeymoon in Mexico. I save it a lot because we only bought two bottles, so it only smells like Mexico here occasionally, exceptionally.
What three words would you use to describe your house?
Light. Toys. Nature.

How often do you change, move, or rearrange things in your apartment?
I move things quite often, but they're just small things on the shelves. Like the little things in the kitchen - flour, sugar, spices, toys, cars, dolls in the bedroom. I always try to find the most ideal place for everything so that it makes sense... So when someone is looking for something, mom usually knows where to find it. (laughs)
What do you think makes any space cozy?
Curtains and paintings.
And what should everyone have at home?
Love.
Early bird or night owl?
Night owl.

A combination of brick and light gray towels made of 100% organic cotton.
What evokes the feeling of freshly made duvets in you?
Homecoming.
What else could Lejaan produce?
Wallpapers for children's bedding. Then everything would be beautifully matchy-matchy.

Rose and Kevin's kingdom connects pastel shades of yellow, pink and blue.
Sleeping under the stars or in a luxury hotel?
Sleeping under the stars in a luxury hotel.
Old second-hand things or new things?
Old things – ideally from your mother, grandmother or great-grandmother.

The house is surrounded by blooming greenery, birdsong and a picturesque view. "There's always something to look at," says Julie.
At a party in the evening, or in bed?
At a party, and then in bed. (laughs)
Morning coffee, or tea?
Tea.
Is it monochromatic or Mix & Match?
Monochromatic, but when I have mostly Lejaan at home, I'll also do Mix & Match. I'm looking forward to it!
