Líján, Ležán, Lejýn. That's how we hear our brand pronounced. How is it correct, and what story is hidden behind six letters?

Lejaan was founded in 2020 by three friends, Marcel Gecov, Honza Kmoch and Honza Bartoš. However, preparations began three years earlier. The development phase was not at all straightforward and had a number of dead ends. Already in the imaginary finale, when the labels were printed and the products were almost ready for sale, they decided to completely change the name.

"At the airport in Thailand, where we were on a trip together, we realized that if we wanted to build a lovebrand, we had to choose a name that would aesthetically fit better into the world's extra class," explains Marcel. The original and in some respects conventional "Just Pure" was given the red card and replaced by the atypical word Lejaan. What does it mean?

LEJAAN AS AN ANAEM

Lejaan is a playful anaemesis of the owners' names. From Marcel's name, the name begins with the syllable "Le", the two A's in "jaan" refer to two Jans. The name is supposed to be pronounced "Leján", but if you read it differently and imagine our comfortable collections of bed linen, terry cloth and plaids, then everything is fine.
