"They say that a woman usually carries within her the style of the era in which she was at her most charming. My lifelong role model was my grandmother, who lived through that stage of her life in the 1960s."
The Day and Night Dreaming collection grew out of the personal story of fashion designer Vanda Janda. From a childhood in a prefab apartment block in Košice, where, thanks to her grandmother, ordinary moments turned into small rituals of luxury. Water served in a stemmed glass, a balcony transformed into a beach and a bed with the whitest, most fragrant bed linen. A bed where she dreamt of the big wide world... It was this very ability to create a sense of the exceptional out of the everyday that became the main inspiration for the whole collection.
"The Day and Night Dreaming collection can accompany every woman from morning to evening, in surroundings she likes to keep beautiful and clean for her own sake," says Vanda Janda, describing the main intention behind the pieces.

The project connects the world of the bedroom with the world of fashion. Alongside the Notes of Diva bedding, a clothing line made from Lejaan's signature terry was also created, moving on the border between home comfort and evening elegance.
"For the bedding, I started from the traditional stripe that evokes a hotel. You know that clean, fresh, fluffy feeling? But unfortunately, you also know it is not quite yours. It belongs to the hotel. This collection is hotel-like, yet yours," Vanda enthuses about the Notes of Diva bedding, adding about its playful details: "I conceived the embroidery as letters in different fonts. I was inspired by book covers, which for me belong in bed. The end of a sentence moves from the pillow to the duvet and fades away on it, just as thoughts should ideally fade away into dreams."

The pieces designed by Vanda Janda reference the aesthetics of the 1960s, an era of very playful and feminine dressing. The designs are also conceived to be worn at home, while travelling and in the city. The collection thus accompanies a woman from morning to evening. Exactly as its name suggests.
And why Lejaan terry of all things? Vanda sees it clearly: "It has a striking textured look and holds the silhouette of a garment nicely. So I saw no reason to stick to convention, and the terry became pieces you feel good in both at home and, say, at a beach bar. But why not head out to lunch in town in a well-cut, quality-made robe coat?"

"Our cuts are fairly simple and refined to the millimetre, considered so that they feel right at home, on a morning walk for coffee and at a social event. Women may not fully realise it, but the body's movement adapts to the clothes they are wearing. It is wonderful to walk tall and sit up straight - in short, to feel like a Full Time Diva."

The underlying idea is a simple yet powerful one: to feel good wherever you are. In bed, at home and out. White bedding with a subtle hotel stripe and playful embroidery elevates waking up in the morning as well as quiet dreaming at the close of the evening. Terry garments, in turn, bring the feeling of a "little duvet" you can take out into the world with you. The Day and Night Dreaming collection thus becomes a kit for everyday dreaming. For women who want to live their days and nights with ease, confidence and a touch of Full Time Diva energy.
