Podcaster, coach, influencer, YouTuber... Lucie Minářová has many passions, faces and roles, and today we got to know her in the most natural one of all. At home with her dog Olivka, surrounded by the cleanest of interiors with a touch of colour and a big dose of comfort.

Come and see with us what defines that unmistakable "home" for the ever-smiling Lucie.

What was the first thing that charmed you about this apartment?

Primarily the balcony, I think, the big kitchen and also being close to the city amenities I need, while still having the feeling that I'm in the countryside. From the window I see only greenery and feel an inner calm.

How do you manage to imprint yourself on a rented space?

Through everything from furniture and decorations to my favourite "corners" for work, rest and recovery.

What do you think makes a home?

Primarily, I'd say Olivia, my dog. But definitely also the feeling of cosiness, which I create with light, candles, scents, blankets and so on.

"I like quality things, which I then take good care of."

And what does home smell like to you?

Like freshly washed laundry or a cake that has just finished baking in the oven!

You can recommend your favourite home fragrances or candles to us right away.

I love my aroma diffuser - I have one from Seasons at home, into which you put the essential oil directly, with no water. I like playing with scents and have lots of them at home. In the morning I usually switch on something citrusy straight away (blood orange, mandarin and so on), while in the evening I prefer lavender or a relaxing blend.

Which room do you spend the most time in?

The bedroom, at least 7-8 hours every day! (laughs)

Lucie would much rather swap a party for an evening in a freshly made bed.

How would you describe your apartment in three words?

Calm, warm and clean - usually (laughs), and not just in terms of tidiness, but also furnishings.

How often do you change, shift or move things around in the apartment?

I don't move the furniture much - I feel everything fits nicely here and I'm happy with it. But once or twice a year I need to change something. Anything from organising the food in the kitchen to reworking a corner - most recently I got rid of a wingback chair and made myself a recovery corner, not just for meditation or stretching, but in the future also for a red light panel.

Which piece for the apartment took you the longest to find?

Definitely the sofa! Finding a nice one at a reasonable price felt like a truly extreme challenge. In the end I had to lower my requirements a little. But one day I'll get my dream one!

A combination of Colour Melange knitted throws and decorative cushions that is guaranteed to work.

Did you make anything in the apartment yourself?

No, nobody would want to see that. Not even me! (laughs) But I'm planning to make my own coffee mugs!

What should everyone have at home?

Soft light, candles and a pile of cushions.

What does the feeling of freshly changed bedding evoke in you?

A meadow in bloom. Or a fluffy cloud! I lo-o-ove freshly changed bedding!

Can you guess Lucie's favourite colour? We think we already know.

What else could Lejaan make?

A warm blanket! The softest kind, that you want to wrap yourself up in completely in winter while sipping hot chocolate.

We fell in love with your flatmate Olivka straight away. Where is her favourite spot in the apartment?

Definitely the balcony. Whenever I open the balcony door, she can stay out there all day. Sleeping in the sun, watching the passing cars and people at the bus stop or sniffing the herbs.

For Lucie, Olivia is the embodiment of home, and we are not surprised. She was extremely warm and cuddly company for us too.

Do you have a favourite ritual?

I have an awful lot of them. And I love them all equally, otherwise I wouldn't do them. I've learnt to include in my routines only things that make sense to me and that I enjoy, otherwise I wouldn't keep them up in the long term. Specifically, that's morning cold showers, a gratitude list, coffee on the balcony and my morning and evening skincare.

My favourite spot in the apartment is...

probably the kitchen and the balcony!

My favourite home accessories are...

fluffy towels, cushions, vases of fresh flowers and little lamps.

At home I like to wear...

whatever is most comfortable. In summer I love linen dresses, in winter matching oversized tracksuit sets!

9 QUESTIONS FOR LUCIE

Shower or bath?

Shower.

Early bird or night owl?

Definitely an early bird, and it's hardly ever been any different.

Sleeping under the stars or in a luxury hotel?

Can I have one of each? I love adventure, experiences and nature, but then I also like to take a shower and do my skincare in the comfiest bed with breakfast delivered.

Old second-hand things or new ones?

This probably won't be a popular answer, but I like quality new things, which I then take good care of.

Minimalism or maximalism?

I'd say (for me) the golden mean. But rather fewer quality, more expensive things that stay with me for a long time.

Perfect order or creative chaos?

Order. It's the only way I can work creatively!

An evening at a party or in bed?

All the way in bed! (laughs) Ideally freshly made.

Morning coffee or tea?

Coffee. Always coffee! (laughs)

A single-colour bed or Mix & Match?

I like simplicity, so single-colour.
