At Lejaan we pay attention to even the smallest details. Whether it is the sewing process or the final product, every seam matters to us. In this article you will find out how we think about production, why we stand by the importance of handwork, and why we tear our fabrics.

A responsible approach

In an age of globalisation, automation and mass production, the human element is disappearing from manufacturing, which often migrates to large corporations. The process is losing its human touch and attention to detail, which can lead to poorer product quality. At Lejaan we decided from the very beginning to think differently.

All our bedding is made in smaller workshops, where we build on craft tradition and maintain personal relationships. This closeness allows us to produce first-class quality textiles over which we have absolute control.

Hand production means we can oversee every single piece.

Quality first

When choosing suppliers, we place great importance on transparency, openness to innovation and the ability to build long-term relationships. This combination helps us constantly push boundaries and ensure the highest possible quality from the very start of production.

Every piece is thoroughly checked throughout the entire production process. At Lejaan you will not find a single centimetre of fabric that has not passed through human hands. Our emphasis on detail and handwork is also the reason we chose to tear the fabric rather than cut it.

Why we tear the fabric during production

The tearing method allows us to maintain strict warp and weft lines, which is crucial for preventing seam twisting. This deformation is, by contrast, a common part of the cutting process - a widely used technique in mass production and industrial factories. Tearing, on the other hand, is used in smaller workshops and in the hand production of items that require firm and precise cuts. Despite its more demanding process, tearing is an essential step for us in achieving perfection.

Tearing helps us achieve the perfect rectangle for sewing a flawless cover.

Bedding with functional details

We devote attention to details not only in production, but also take great care with the final construction of our products.

Our bedding features the proven hotel pocket, enhanced with clever corner stitching. This combination guarantees easy covering, keeps the duvet in place and eliminates unnecessary fastening elements that would not last long. The largest sizes of our bedding also have practical ties sewn on, which act as a safety feature to keep the filling in position.

Practical improvements to Lejaan sheets include elastic in the corners for a perfectly firm fit, and marking of the shorter side for easier putting on.

At Lejaan we strive for the highest quality, which is why we pay attention to even the smallest details.
